BASIC FUNCTIONS

Performs general stevedoring duties mainly but not limited to container and cargo lashing and unlashing, manual stuffing and de—stuffing of containers (if required).assisting at lining station in case of shortage.

Assists technicians during repair and maintenance activities in addition to cleaning & washing of equipment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lashing and unlashing of containers and cargo on board vessels following safe methods and meeting productivity standards.

Perform duties related to yard clean up on a regular basis. 

General stevedoring of goods and materials in vessels, warehouse, vehicles and containers. .

Hook-on and hoof-off cargo to hoisting gear during loading and discharging of containers.

Fitting and taking off twist locks under the cranes.

Assists technicians during maintenance activities

Minimum Quaiifications

High school diploma

At least 1 year related work experience

Basic English skills

Physically fit
