Business and finance Planning Adviser would assist Business Planning & Performance Department as well as Finance Department Manager to improve the quality of financial processes and controls within business planning across the company. He will assist Senior Managers in preparation of company Annual Operation & Capex plans with related budgets and in projection of their long term cash flows. And will also undertake Maximum Allowable Revenue calculation, Price Control Return submission and audit; Separate Business Account submission and Audit.
1. Assist the board in linking corporate objectives strategies, plans and delivery resources to finance.
2. Research, develop and implement policies, processes and procedures to improve financial and business planning.
3. Provide advice and support to managers across the company in business planning from the financial aspects.
4. Develop the planning horizon and a clear roadmap for future developments of finance and business planning systems.
5. Assists in preparation of company Annual Operation & Cape); plans with related budget; and in the projection of their short & long mm cash flows.
6. Undertakes Maximum Allowable Revenue Calculation along with TUoS( Transmission use of system), DUOS ( Distribution Use of System), BST (Bulk Supply Tariff) & Government Subsidiary break-ups.
7. Assists preparing Price Control Return ( PCR) submissions, ensure complete utilization of provision of allocated funds therein; assists in PCR audit process. Make fullest effort to earn bonus/incentive and avoid penalty on Technical Performance Indicator under PIS scheme.
8. Assists preparing separate Business Account (SBA) submission; and in SBA audit process.
9. Address training m build staff skills in the business planning of projects.
10. Assist in managers in developing approaches and plans to achieve operational goals within budgets.
11. Assist in business and financial analysis across organization.
12. Identify financial risks and develop mitigation plans.
13. Identify new areas of business value.
Minimum Requirements
1. Degree in Finance & accounting; with additional qualification in Business Planning & Management preferable.
2. Certified or Chartered status as an accountant or management accountant, or any accreditation of similar professional recognition.
3. At least ten years of experience in financial and business planning in service providing organizations.
4. Preferred direct experience of financial and business planning in the utility sector.
5. High level of skills in preparing financial reports in spreadsheet format and in developing documentary support.
6. High level of interpersonal skills, able to interact well from the board level down to that of junior staff.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. A high level of proficiency in English and preferably also Arabic
9. Good report writing skills
