JOB PURPOSE

Coordinates with BTL. Barge Maintaining. and Rig Mover for Jack-down. Jack-up operation and moving the Barge from one location to another. Follow-up on Jacking operation procedures & carry out pre-barge move check list as per Barge move procedure. Maintain preventive maintenance of Jacking system and preparedness for Barge move.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES

Ensure the coordination of the Barge move activities with BTL. B. Maint. Eng. and as per instruction from the Rig Mover.

Carry out pre-barge move checks as per checklist such as Gearboxes. oil level. motor & motor brake torques. climbing pinions. hydro-pads, shock pads. greasing system and operating Control Panel.

Participate with BTL. Rig Mover and concerned parties in the Pre Barge move Risk Assessment meeting.

Implement Barge liSE program as per Company & Department objectives.

Ensure proper communication with Jacking Electrician on Main Deck to monitor the operation & condition of the gearbo:\.es and motors during operations.

Ensure proper communication at all levels with the Rig Movers.

Maintain proper pre-loading and pre-dri c operation in coordination with BTl. & the Rig Mover.

After completing Barge rnove must check the Jacking System. Motor Brakes. Lower & Upper shock pads & Leg Racks.

Carry out Weekly. monthly. six monthly and yearly Preventive Maintenance of Jacking System & accessories.

Overhauling of Jacking gear boxes as required .

Regular daily ser ice & maintenance of all kinds of Air Tools. Chain Olocks. Steam Cleaners & Pumps. Also maintai n the spare part in stock.

Works according to Company·policy and procedures and professional technical standards

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge Skills Experience and Competencies)

Diploma in mechanical Engineering

5 to 6 years experience in the mechanical work plus 5 years minimum experience in the Jacking System operation of Barge (racks & pinions). Preference will be given to candidate with hands- on experience on 'Brissonneau Lotz Marine' (BLM) make jacking system.

Age not more than 45 years .
